The majority of apartments sold in West Vancouver are in Amelside and Dundarave. Although this year has seen a huge number of sales above the highway in places like Folkestone Way and the new project at the Highgrove.
In looking at the statistical data for Ambelside and Dundarave, there is a huge different between those apartments sold south of Marine drive and those above Marine Drive. For obvious reasons, being or across from the water on Bellevue or Argyle is the most desirable spot
The thing that still prevents so many people from purchasing an apartment in West Vancouver is the pet policy that is prevalent in most buildings. I have said this before, but it is worth repeating. Seriously people, you allow teenagers but will not allow a senior to keep their pet. It has been proven that a pet keeps you young, gives you a reason to get up in the morning and still loves you even though your hearing, eye site and teeth are disappearing! Many of my clients have made it quite clear, that if it comes to a choice between the dog and their husband.....well it won’t be the dog. It always seems to be the wife that gives that analogy!
